Touching Resonance — Workshop documentation

Project

Artist-led workshops connecting creative practice and technical knowledge.

Park’s workshops extend her installation practice into shared learning. Participants explore how touch, gesture and real-time systems can become materials for making, through practical exercises and collective experimentation.

Co-founder / Artist-led community

TouchCollective

Park is a co-founder of TouchCollective, a community centred on TouchDesigner and creative practice. Through workshops and tutorials, the collective provides a setting for artists to exchange technical knowledge, develop interactive work and experiment together.

Her contribution connects expertise in TouchDesigner with her work in tactile interfaces, sound and real-time image. As the community expands in Melbourne, she continues to develop workshops and regular online tutorials.

Touching Resonance

15 April 2026 / Participatory audio-visual workshop

Seventh Gallery, Melbourne

Led by Minnie Park

Led by Minnie Park at Seventh Gallery, Touching Resonance invited participants to activate sound and real-time visuals collectively through conductive touch mediated by flowers and plants, as well as hand-to-hand contact. The workshop carried Park’s research into affect and participation beyond the exhibition format, testing how a tactile system can support collective making in a workshop setting.

October 2025 / Artist-led workshop

Science Gallery Melbourne / TouchCollective

Presented with TouchCollective, the workshop explored MediaPipe as a performative tool through gesture control, hand tracking and object detection. It introduced artists to body-led creative technology while creating space for shared experimentation.
