Commission and context
For Melbourne Fashion Festival’s 2025 Premium Runways, Park translated the visual language of Meta Rose into moving image at event scale. Presented for the Opening Night Runway and Glam Up Runway in March 2025, the commission extended a body of work rooted in intimate touch into a large-scale runway environment.
From an interactive system to sixteen sequences
The commission followed a festival representative’s encounter with Meta Rose at Park’s graduate exhibition, where one of the work’s visual states prompted interest in a screen presentation. Sixteen visual sequences were subsequently selected and re-rendered from the existing Meta Rose system.
Recomposed for a non-interactive setting, each sequence could operate as an independent screen work while remaining connected through colour, texture and emotional tension. The commission demonstrates how the range of images within one interactive artwork can support multiple moving-image compositions without losing their connection to the originating work.

Artist, visual direction, moving image and screen content. Park selected and adapted material from her own Meta Rose practice for the runway presentation, carrying its visual language into a commissioned screen format.
