The Meta Rose: Shared Resonance

The Meta Rose: Shared Resonance asks what becomes possible when an artwork cannot be completed alone. Suspended real roses operate as haptic interfaces within an open circuit. When two or more participants connect through water, hand-to-hand contact and the roses, they collectively activate sound, moving image and light.

The work shifts attention from individual feeling to relation: how affect circulates, intensifies or changes when shared. Each encounter produces a temporary composition that belongs to no single participant. Mixed and ambivalent states remain present through simultaneous signals rather than resolving into one clear emotional label.

Developed from the participatory questions of The Meta Kibun Project, Shared Resonance reorganises touch around interdependence. The audience does not simply operate the work; their connection becomes its material.
